Greetings Fair Outlands!
Tis I, the Windhover Bard, bringing you news of the bardic variety! Though it has been some time since I have had the pleasure of your company, I know that the bardic arts carry on. So too must the tradition of the Windhover Bard. Song and story cannot be fettered by distance and disease, and as such we shall be holding the qualifier round for the Windhover Bard competition virtually this year!
To enter, please record a video of yourself performing one spoken piece and one song. Make a video for each entry, and post it to Youtube or Vimeo. Go to https://moas.outlands.org/ and make an account if you do not already have one. Select the "Competitions" menu and click on "Submit an entry" or "add a project" and choose Windhover Bard 2020. When you fill in your entry information, include the url of your video when you submit it. You will need to submit one entry for each video. Videos must be submitted by September 30, 2020. One qualifier will be chosen from the North and one from the South to perform and compete at Crown Tournament this fall.
This is an outstanding opportunity to see the breadth and depth of the bardic arts across The Mighty Outlands. Anyone and everyone can enter. And don’t worry, this is not a cinematography competition. A simple video will do, but I look forward to seeing what creativity you all will pour into the performances. And for anyone wanting help in selecting a piece, putting on the finishing touches, or questions on how to frame a performance, there are many past Windhover Bards, as well as myself, eager to help!
Thank you all,
Lord Ronan na f-fiacal mac Connail
