The pocket pattern is based on 16th century portraits, embroidery if from the Il Burato, a book on 16th century embroidery patterns. Project was started on April 1st and finished April 21st.
Outer layer is velvet, lining is silk, embroidery is done in linnen thread.
First I drew the embroidery pattern on some stitch and wash, used chain stitch to embroider on the design and washed away the stabilizer. I then cut out my pattern pieces and sewed the piece together by hand, and hand finished the pocket.
